1. Who is responsible (controller)

2. What we collect — and what we deliberately do not

We collect data only when you actively send it to us: through the display requirement form, by email or by WhatsApp. This is typically your company name, contact person, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, country, and the technical specification of the display you are sourcing.

We do not run advertising pixels, third-party cookies or social plugins. To understand which pages and referring sites bring visitors, we use a first-party, cookieless page counter: it records the page path, referring domain and browser language only. Your IP address is used solely as a one-way hash to count unique visitors — the raw IP is never stored, no cookie is set, and no data is shared with advertising networks. The only thing stored in your browser is a single localStorage entry that remembers your language preference.

When you first open the site, your country may be derived from your IP address at the CDN edge (Cloudflare) purely to offer you the matching language version. The country code is used only for this one-time redirect, is kept in your browser for the current session, and is never stored on our servers or combined with any other data. Choosing a language manually in the language menu always overrides this automatic detection.

3. Why we process your data (legal basis)

We use your enquiry data exclusively to evaluate your requirement and perform the sourcing service: specification review, supplier comparison, quotations and order follow-up (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps prior to entering a contract, and contract performance).

We never sell your data, never add you to a marketing list, and never share your specification with a factory until you ask us to obtain quotations — and then only with the suppliers relevant to your project, on a need-to-know basis. A mutual NDA can be signed before any technical details are forwarded, on request.

4. Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept for up to 24 months so we can pick a project back up when you return. If we work together, project records are kept for the duration of the cooperation plus any statutory retention periods that apply to invoices and agency records.

5. Processors and data transfer

This website is served through Cloudflare (global edge network, including points of presence in the EU and the US). Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms (AWS-hosted, GDPR-compliant; submissions retained for 12 months, then deleted). Email is delivered through standard email infrastructure. No other third parties receive your data. Your specification is forwarded to Chinese factories only where you have asked us to source quotations, and only the details required for quoting.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21) under the GDPR, and you can withdraw any consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hxc@funsundisplay.com — we respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
