How We Work: From Display Specification to Shipment in Five Steps
A fixed sequence with a named deliverable at every stage — so you always know what is happening, what you owe, and who carries which risk.
Process
The five steps
Typical elapsed time from specification to shipment: 5–9 weeks, depending on whether a custom tooling or a new backlight design is required.
Send your display specification
Free
Datasheet, drawing, or the discontinued part number you need to replace. Tell us the application, the interface you use, the temperature range and your annual quantity.
Deliverable: Acknowledgement within 1 business day (GMT+8)
Engineering review & sourcing
Free · 2–5 days
We run the 8-point technical review, then shortlist and compare 2–3 display factories on price, MOQ, lead time and capability.
Deliverable: Comparison table with factory quotations and a written risk list
Sample & confirmation
You pay the factory · 2–4 weeks
Samples are ordered directly from the factory. You pay the factory for the samples and the freight. We help you evaluate the sample on your own hardware.
Deliverable: Sample evaluation support; no commission on samples
Mass production & follow-up
30% deposit · 3–6 weeks
You pay the factory a 30% production deposit directly. We follow the production schedule, verify drawings, FPC and pinout, and escalate any exception.
Deliverable: 30% of the commission is invoiced at this stage
Inspection, documents & balance
Before balance payment
AQL pre-shipment inspection with power-on, backlight, touch, label and packing check. You receive an English report with photos, then release the factory balance.
Deliverable: Remaining 70% commission settled before the factory balance is paid
Money rule
Who pays whom
Goods payment: buyer → factory, always. FunsunDisplay does not collect the goods payment, does not advance funds and does not provide any payment guarantee. We invoice only our commission, and we never add a markup to the factory price. This is stated in the agency agreement and is the single most important protection for both sides.
What we do with money
- ✓Invoice commission per milestone, with a written settlement notice
- ✓Quote third-party costs at cost, itemised
- ✓Keep the factory price identical to what the factory quoted you
What we never do
- ✗Collect or hold the goods payment
- ✗Advance funds to a factory
- ✗Guarantee a factory's delivery or quality
- ✗Add a hidden margin to the screen price
If things go wrong
Cancellation and refund rules
| Situation | How it is handled |
|---|---|
| Buyer cancels after the factory deposit is paid | Factory deposit, tooling and sampling losses are borne by the buyer. Commission is charged for the stages already completed and the unexecuted portion is refunded. |
| Factory cannot deliver to the confirmed specification | We assist the negotiation with the factory. Commission is charged for completed work only; the unused portion is refunded. |
| Cancellation caused by proven gross negligence on our side | The corresponding unearned commission is refunded in full. |
